It is quite curious to me how terms of equality and rights can be thrown around loosely almost always never in context. It seems as though those who casually banter about such ideas hide behind the broad use of the word. Certainly most level thinking individuals would agree upon an idea of equality in the world for all if its inhabitants. Equal rights, is a more debatable term. What are rights, natural and or legal, and what is just deemed fair. Said ideas are noble in reasoning, yet somehow are again broad in their understanding based on the context of which they are derived. In a country of so many opportunities I believe we forget how truly blessed we are and tend to focus on that of which conceivably hinder us. Not to say we must accept the current state of things or ignore any attempts at improving our world, but at what cost do we act without considering the consequences. We all have a say, and apparently all have to correct answers in regards to what the world should look like. We all tend to lose sight of the "meanings" because of our own agendas. There is much unfairness in the world and in my own life, but as in the current state of things I wouldn't say I have lost any "rights." I suppose I just don't understand the general statement: "Equal rights." What are you referring to, and provide an example. Once again there is a difference between natural and legal rights. One begets the other, but legalities are legalities. Because certain "rights" maybe limited legally, you must define it so and deal with it in that regard rather than blanketing the issue of unequal rights as your main point. Unfortunately, when it comes to such issues, agenda plays a huge role, which in my estimation, clouds the true more objective minded issue. Now that I am unable to really discuss and debate this notion, I seem to be talking in circles. Do I or do I not have the "right" to do anything that I want? Technically yes, but there are caveats to this notion.

Like I said...it's a bitch not living in 'our own little world' where whatever we do or say is King!
